Since 1981, Dirk Keller has been helping clients step safely through the media minefield. His specialty is successful media negotiation that makes his clients’ cash register ring.

Since 1981, Dirk Keller has been helping clients step safely through the media minefield. Keller became an entrepreneur in 2002 after 15 years assisting clients at KRNA radio and seven years with KCRG TV/radio and Gazette Communications print. Through Common Sense Advertising, he benefits small business clients through skillful negotiation and successful media buys. Dirk holds degrees in mass communications and political science from The University of Iowa, and he remains a loyal Hawkeye fan.
He is actively involved in the community, including with the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce, American Advertising Federation: Cedar Rapids - Iowa City, Summer of the Arts Board of Directors, Iowa City Boys Baseball & Coralville Boys Basketball, and Iowa City Regina Athletic Booster Club. Dirk serves as moderator of "Sports Opinion," Iowa City Public Access TV's longest continuously running show. He’s also a member of the Iowa City Monday Morning QB Club, Iowa City Coralville Convention & Visitors Bureau and the I-Club.

Molly Altorfer

A non-profit and higher education specialist who has “sat in the VP for marketing chair,” Molly leverages her unique understanding of client needs based on her past organizational experiences.
Full bio:
Molly Altorfer brings more than 15 years of communications and marketing experience to Common Sense Advertising, most recently having served as Director of Communications and Marketing for Iowa Women Lead Change (IWLC) and as Assistant Vice President for Communications and Marketing for Mount Mercy University. She has broad experience in the oversight, planning, design, implementation and evaluation of public relations, media relations and marketing programs, as well as institutional messaging, social media strategy and publication.
Molly is actively involved in the Corridor community, serving on the Board of Directors of Tanager Place and the Planned Giving Committee of the United Way of East Central Iowa. She also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Cedar Valley Montessori School. She is a former member of the Cedar Rapids Public Library Foundation Board of Directors. Molly is a graduate of the Leadership for Five Seasons program (2008) and is a member of the Class of 2007 Corridor Business Journal Forty Under 40. She is a past winner of the Cedar Rapids Women's City Amateur Golf Tournament (2009).
Molly holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication with a concentration in public relations from Kent State University. She is also cum laude graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College (St. Peter, Minn.) with degrees in communication studies and political science.
